Technique. Anatomy. Mind.
The Vocal Triangle is a pedagogical framework built on the integration of three essential dimensions of vocal development: technical skill, anatomical understanding and mental training.
Drawing on my experience as an international opera singer and voice teacher, this approach combines the principles of the Italian bel canto tradition with contemporary knowledge of vocal anatomy, neuroscience and modern voice pedagogy.
At the heart of The Vocal Triangle is the belief that the human voice is one instrument, expressed through different musical languages. Styles evolve, but the fundamental principles of vocal function remain the same.
A jazz or bolero singer may never think of their phrasing as Bellinian legato, yet the same principles of vocal line and connection are present. The riffs and runs of Soul and R&B can be understood as a natural evolution of coloratura and Rossinian articulation, reimagined by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Christina Aguilera and Teddy Swims — just as the immediacy of Mozart's recitative shares common ground with the spoken authenticity sought in contemporary musical theatre.
Rather than separating classical and contemporary traditions, The Vocal Triangle seeks to understand what each has revealed about the voice, and to place that knowledge at the service of today's performer.
My role is not to reshape a singer's natural voice, but to help them understand it, develop it and use it with confidence, efficiency and artistic freedom.
One Voice. Infinite Expressions.
Rooted in the Italian bel canto tradition — legato, phrasing and articulation principles that carry through opera, jazz, soul and musical theatre alike.
A clear, evidence-based understanding of how the vocal instrument actually works, so technique is built on function, not imitation.
Neuroscience-informed mental training for confidence, focus and a sustainable, lifelong artistic career.
